About the Manufacturer
The Orthex adventure began in 2002 when its founder, Éric Duhamel, was working as a consultant in a store specializing in adjustable beds while completing his university studies. The strong demand for health and wellness solutions, combined with a relatively stagnant industry, were the fundamental elements that inspired the young entrepreneur to bring this ambitious project to fruition. The founder quickly assembled a team of top healthcare professionals, designers, and suppliers to develop the company's expertise. Six years of research, studies, and testing were required before launching the first Orthex product: a postural cushion. After humble beginnings in the founder's apartment, Orthex is now a North American leader in orthopedic cushions, pillows, and mattresses, as well as adjustable bases for home care and mobility.
