Meet the Founders
Dreamland Sleep Shop was opened in June 2000 by husband-and-wife team Darren and Kim Rennie.
Darren brings decades of experience in the mattress industry, including years spent as a corporate trainer for an international mattress manufacturer. His deep understanding of mattress construction and materials ensures every product we carry meets strict standards for quality, comfort, and durability.
Kim brings a background rooted in luxury hospitality and textile sourcing, having worked with travel and tourism brands focused on exceptional guest experiences. Her passion for fine linens and bedding helps guide Dreamland’s carefully selected “resort-quality” sleep collections, many produced by Canadian vendors.
Together, Darren and Kim built Dreamland with one guiding belief:

They continue to lead the business with that core value — combining expertise, integrity, and genuine care for the Sunshine Coast community.
